That Fortune Family is a prolific one—thank goodness. This time around they survive a tornado and its aftermath, the characters' lives changing irrevocably because of that experience.

In FORTUNE'S HERO, Victoria Fortune, of the Atlanta branch of the family, needs closure after surviving the tornado—and to thank her hero, the man who saved her from the rubble, so she returns to Red Rock, Texas, with that goal in mind. Garrett Stone doesn't want thanks—or the adoration Victoria offers, either. He's older and wiser. He knows how different they are. They could never be a pair.

But Victoria is determined and in love.

As she and Garrett care for the many animals he's rescued, they finally find something in common, and life becomes much more interesting for them both.
